What is ARTS ALIVE! for seniors?
ARTS ALIVE! is a participatory dynamic program that incorporates music, movement, dance and creative drama through exciting themes. ARTS ALIVE! makes movement MAGIC!
Why ARTS ALIVE! for seniors?
ARTS ALIVE! makes exercise time FUN and purposeful! Through the magic of theme, we don’t just lift our arms – it is springtime and we are picking the apples out of the trees! Through the magic of props, we don’t just shake our hands and move our feet – we shake our maracas as we march to Mexico to celebrate Cinco de Mayo! Through the magic of music, we don’t just move our arms from side to side – we learn the hula during our “Lovely Luau” while listening to beautiful Hawaiian music! Through the magic of creative drama, we don’t just walk to the dining area – we reach up for the raindrops and stomp in the mud puddles during a rainstorm!
